Timberwolf Learning Center Asynchronous Writing Center (TLC AWC)

What is the TLC AWC?

The TLC AWC provides asynchronous appointments to allow students to participate in a remote dialogue with a tutor, receiving written comments and suggestions from a peer TLC Tutor without meeting face-to-face or online. We will return your writing assignment via your NU email with comments and suggestions to guide your next steps. Please note that our AWC is not an editing service, and tutors will not make any changes to your writing.

How does TLC AWC work?

When using the TLC AWC, you will not meet with a specific TLC Tutor in real time. Instead, you will complete a form and upload two things: (1) your writing assignment in the form of a Microsoft Word document and (2) your professor's assignment description/requirements. Then, a TLC Tutor will spend about an hour reviewing your work and email your writing assignment back with a Tutor Notes report and comments on your writing assignment using the comment box feature within 24 hours, not including Fridays or Saturdays. If the end of your 24 hours falls on a Friday or Saturday, you may not receive your feedback until the end of day on that following Sunday.
