Dear Northwood University Florida Students,

Northwood University's regional accreditor, The Higher Learning Commission, has approved the teach-out plan for undergraduate students at the Northwood University West Palm Beach, Florida location.

The existing undergraduate degree programs offered at the West Palm Beach, Florida location will continue to be taught by Keiser University beginning July 1, 2015. Students currently enrolled in the Northwood University graduate program will have the opportunity to complete degree requirements with Northwood University by December 31, 2015.

Depending on the current number of credits you have earned toward a Northwood University undergraduate degree, you may qualify to earn a BBA degree from Northwood University by completing your undergraduate degree requirements by June 30, 2016. This is your opportunity to retain the credits you have already earned, and receive your undergraduate degree from Northwood University, delivered through Keiser University at the West Palm Beach campus.

The teach-out will begin July 1, 2015, and will conclude June 30, 2016. Any Northwood University student who has begun at Northwood and is able to complete his/her undergraduate degree program by June 30, 2016 is eligible to participate. If unable to complete by this time, students will have an opportunity to transfer to Keiser University to complete their program and earn an undergraduate degree from Keiser University.

  • If you plan to meet your BBA degree requirements by June 30, 2016, and wish to earn a Northwood undergraduate degree, please submit your completion plan and graduation application for the 2015-2016 academic year by October 1, 2015 to the registrar at Northwood University. Your plan will be reviewed, and progress you make toward a degree, will be documented. If you have questions regarding the completion of a Northwood undergraduate degree, please contact the Northwood registrar at: registrar@northwood.edu.

All students who complete their undergraduate degree requirements by June 30, 2016, will have the opportunity to graduate from Northwood University. The May 2016 commencement ceremony will be a combined ceremony between Northwood University and Keiser University.

  • Northwood students who will not meet undergraduate degree completion requirements by June 2016, have several options: 1) complete your current Northwood University curriculum at Keiser University, and earn an undergraduate Keiser degree; 2) choose from one of Keiser University's program offerings, and earn an undergraduate degree from Keiser; 3) transfer to Northwood University's Midland, Michigan location, or complete through Northwood's online, distance education delivery; or 4) transfer to a different college or university.
